HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

MSc Studentships available

The MSc Economics & Health Economics at the University of Sheffield is taught jointly by the Department of Economics and the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR).  The course has been offered 4 UK studentships from 2011/12 for 3 years funded by the National Institute for Health Research.

This course is aimed at those who wish to pursue careers as applied economists in the health sector, and at those who wish to continue with academic research.  Candidates must have a strong background in undergraduate level economics.  The application deadline for the studentships for the 2011/12 intake is Tuesday 31 May, 2011.
