HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

New leadership team for MScHEDM

Our MSc Health Economics and Decision Modelling (HEDM) has a new Director and Deputy Director.  As with our other courses, HEDM will also have a professorial Academic Studies Director to give an overview of the curriculum.  The new team are:
  • Dr John Stevens, Reader in Decision Science – Director of HEDM
  • Dr Donna Rowen, Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics – Deputy Director of HEDM
  • Mike Gillett, Research Fellow in Decision Modelling - Deputy Director of HEDM
  • Professor Alan Brennan, Professor of Health Economics and Decision Modelling - Academic Studies Director
The new team will oversee an update of the curriculum and developing relationships with stakeholders to encourage their involvement in curriculum development, studentships and placements.  Further details of the course are available here.
