HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Cochrane Collaboration Issue 4, 2015

Issue 4 is now complete and Issue 5 is being compiled.  The issue 4 Editorial is:

“Regulatory agencies hold the key to improving Cochrane Reviews of drugs” by Jeppe Schroll, Lisa Bero

New or updated reviews (of which are several dozen) include:
  • Endovascular repair versus open repair for inflammatory abdominal aortic aneurysms
  • TNF-alpha inhibitors for ankylosing spondylitis
  • Warming of intravenous and irrigation fluids for preventing inadvertent perioperative hypothermia
  • Rivastigmine for Alzheimer's disease
