New project: Impact of Minimum Alcohol Pricing in Ireland & Northern Ireland

Members of the Sheffield Alcohol Research Group (SARG) have been commissioned jointly by the Irish and Northern Irish governments to produce a report on the estimated impact of minimum unit pricing (MUP) in both countries. The modelling team of Yang Meng, Colin Angus and Abdallah Ally, led by Alan Brennan, will adapt and extend the group’s previous work in England and Scotland to produce detailed estimates of the effect of MUP on alcohol consumption, population health, crime and workplace absence.
