New checklists for network meta-analysis, modelling and observational studies

Although they are termed ‘questionnaires’ within their associated articles, they are in effect Drummond-like checklists.  Widely used checklists already exist for modelling and observational studies (although improvement is always possible), therefore, the need for a network meta-analysis checklist is perhaps greatest.

So why have they been produced?   They were developed by the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy(AMCP), the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC), primarily for formulary decisions.  However, they clearly have relevance across economics, evidence synthesis and HTA.
