HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

NICE Public Health new topics

Two new topics have been allocated to the Sheffield Public Health Collaborating Centre as part of the NICE Public Health Programme.  They are; Smokeless Tobacco led by Josie Messina and Walking and Cycling led by Lindsay Blank.  Cost-effectiveness modelling will be integral to both appraisals.

The PHCC are currently working on three topics:
Pre type 2 diabetes led by Maxine Johnson and Roy Jones
Pre school and home based social and emotional wellbeing led by Lindsay Blank
