NICE Diagnostics Assessment Programme (DAP) pilot project

The DAP has just published the “Report on pilot project on the assessment of non-invasive diagnostic assessment tools for the detection of liver fibrosis in patients with suspected alcohol related liver disease”.  The purpose of this pilot project was to develop appropriate methods and processes to assess diagnostics in the forthcoming work programme. The interim methods statement on which the DAP was based was published in March 2010.

Alan Brennan, Matt Stevenson, Myfanwy Lloyd Jones, are members of the Diagnostics Methods Working Group that developed the interim methods statement and oversaw the DAP pilot project.
