HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Eliciting probability distributions from experts

The CHEBS short course on elicitation was successfully run on 9th September.  The aim of this one-day course is to provide participants with the skills required to elicit experts´ probability distributions about unknown quantities of interest. The course was delivered by John Stevens (HEDS) together with Jeremy Oakley and Tony O´Hagan from the School of Mathematics and Statistics.  Further details are available from John Stevens.
