Sheffield-Shandong Agreement

A 1+1+1 Teaching Agreement has been signed by The University of Sheffield and Shandong University.  The agreement confirms the eligibility of Shandong University students for study on Sheffield’s MSc Health Economics and Decision Modelling on completion of certain modules and standard criteria.  Professor Simon Dixon and Professor Sun Qiang developed the agreement.

The agreement represents another output from the UK-China Health and Economy Partnership.  The Partnership promotes long-term collaboration between UK and Chinese universities by focusing on the economics of healthcare for the mutual benefit of the two countries.  The partnership has been overseen by the British Council and has been funded by GlaxoSmithKline.

The agreement recognises the common research and teaching interests relating to health economics at Sheffield and Shandong.  The School of Health and Related Research at Sheffield and the Centre for Health Management and Policy Research at Shandong are both renown departments and this agreement will further promote excellence at both Universities.  The agreement also builds on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two universities’ Vice Chancellors, Professor Sir Keith Burnett and Professor Zhang Rong in 2017.
