HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Angie Rees takes over as the HEDS Director of Learning and Teaching

Angie Rees has taken over as HEDS Director of Learning and Teaching from Claire Beecroft who has now taken on the role of the Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching for ScHARR.

Angie said: "I’m really pleased to be talking on the role of Section Director of Teaching - HEDS delivers outstanding an innovative teaching and I look forward to continuing to develop this and supporting our wonderful teaching staff."

Angie's research interests include, systematic review methodologies, health services research, bibliographic searching methods. Teaching interests include systematic reviews and health informatics. Angie is the Course Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Online and she also coordinates the module HAR656 Evidence Based Practice and Healthcare Information. Angie is a dissertation supervisor and in 2012, on successful completion of the University's Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CiLT), became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Angie is the project lead for Health Utilities Database (HUD)
