HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Hello Kyrgyzstan!

It's a big welcome to another long distance web tourist from the latest nation to visit the HEDS Blog for the first time. This time we welcome Kyrgyzstan, making them the 153rd country to come calling. So below are three big facts about Kyrgyzstan.

There are just 29.5 people for each square kilometre of land, which means if you move to Kyrgyzstan you'll probably have a long walk to speak to your next door neighbour.

The city of Osh is the oldest in the region dating back 3,000 years and was a major trading point for those travelling on the Silk Road.

If you go there on holiday you won't need a visa, but temperatures can vary from -30C in the winter to 40C in the summer, so make sure you take the right clothing.
