HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

NHS England and the lack of any economics

Does economics have too much influence on the NHS? Judging by the current Clinical Commissioning Policy proposition for Gemcitabine and Capecitabine following surgery for pancreatic cancer, this is unlikely to be the case. The proposition is open for consultation until 19th August and no economic evidence is considered. Or have we missed something?
