Free online HTA course

Experts from the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield have produced a free, open online course in Health Technology Assessment.  The course launches on 15 February and is free for anyone to take, all you need is access to a computer with an internet connection.

On the course we will introduce you to what Health Technology Assessment is and cover the basic processes a new health intervention is taken through in order to be assessed and recommended for use in healthcare services across the world.

The course consists of interviews with experts at ScHARR, animations and short articles which give you an engaging and easy-to-follow guide. You’ll have a chance to discuss the subjects and your opinions every step of the way

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to explain the process which leads to potential decisions on whether or not a new health technology is adopted and funded by the NHS or another national healthcare system. You’ll be able to make an informed contribution to a discussion about NHS decisions and form your own, knowledgeable opinions about the subject.

Join now and start the discussion.
