Placements for Sheffield MSc students

We are currently seeking dissertation placement hosts for our MSc Health Economics & Decision Modelling students at the University of Sheffield.

MSc HEDM is well established and highly regarded worldwide, and we have organised UK and international dissertation placements for our students which has led to high quality and valuable research. These placements have included academia, industry, consultancy organisations and the NHS. Many of our alumni are now professional health economists, and several have taken up full time positions with their student placement hosts.

The students will be ideally suited to undertake a cost-effectiveness analysis, or related quantitative research. They will have developed decision models using TreeAge, Excel and Simul8. They will also have taken modules in Medical Statistics, Operational Research Techniques and Health Economics. Students undertake the placement in 2016 from July to September inclusive (full time).

If you are potentially interested in hosting a student, or would like to find out more information, please email Helen Bell (helen.bell@sheffield.ac.uk), who will send further details and a brief form to complete. The deadline for returning completed proposed placements forms is 29th January.
