HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

NHS Outcomes Framework consultation results…

…and not much change, although a couple of note:
  • Two indicators of alcohol related service use have been added (despite the fact that the best way to reduce it is with a minimum unit price, which the government refused to implement).  Passing the buck?
  • A new indicator for the quality of life for people with 3 or more long term conditions.  This is to be measured using the EQ-5D via the GP Patient Survey.  Although it appears to be the 3L.
