HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Research Associate in Statistics

A two year post is available in HEDS.  The post is to provide statistical support to multi-disciplinary teams as part of research and consultancy projects in HEDS. The main research focus is health technology assessment, including the synthesis of evidence from randomised controlled trials to inform the assessment of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.

Types of work will include Bayesian evidence synthesis including network meta-analysis; Bayesian analysis of randomized controlled trials and observational studies; and the elicitation of experts’beliefs. You will help in the identification and development of new statistical methods, publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and make presentations at conferences.
