Turning the campus yellow for the Tour de France

The Tour de France is the world’s biggest annual sporting event.  This year, the world’s greatest cycle race will start in Yorkshire bringing the historic event closer to our university than ever before.

To celebrate ‘The Grand Départ’ from our doorstep, we’re joining Welcome to Yorkshire in turning
Yorkshire yellow by turning the campus yellow on Friday.

Our most visible asset, The Arts Tower, will be transformed using yellow paper at the windows, making a real statement which will be seen right across the city.

And all staff are invited to wear something yellow on Friday (4 July) to help us make a big impact. Whether it’s a yellow top, tie, necklace or even yellow shoes, join us in celebrating the Tour de France coming to our city.
