New project: Whole-system solutions for urgent and emergency care

Ripping off the sticking plaster: whole-system solutions for urgent and emergency care is a report published by the NHS Confederation.  It acts as a roadmap to the fundamental changes required to create a sustainable and high-quality urgent and emergency care system that can meet the needs of patients now and in the future.

The report draws on a review and assessment of the literature and evidence commissioned from ScHARR, and on the knowledge and experience of NHS Confederation members as shared through a programme of forum events, visits and steering group meetings.

The ScHARR work was undertaken by Janette Turner, Jon Nicholl, Suzanne Mason, Colin O’Keeffe and Jeff Anderson.  Further detailed review material can be found via the Medical Care Research Unit on the ScHARR website.
