HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

New projects: monitoring synovitis and treat-to-target in rheumatoid arthritis

As well as undertaking appraisals for the NICE Technology Appraisal, Diagnostic Appraisal and Highly Specialised Technology Programmes, ScHARR-TAG undertake work for the National Institute for Health Research HTA Programme.  Two new topics have been allocated to them:
  • Ultrasonography for monitoring of synovitis in rheumatoid arthritis
  • Cost-effectiveness of treat-to-target strategies in rheumatoid arthritis
