HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health newsletter

The lead story is the award of £10M by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) for the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care Yorkshire and Humber (CLAHRC YH). The CLAHRC will also receive a further £14 million investment from partner organisations across Yorkshire and Humber. The programme starts in January 2014 for a five-year period.

The Director - Professor Sue Mawson – is based in ScHARR. Within the CLAHRC is a health economics workstream which is being led by Professor John Brazier from HEDS.  For more on this and more stories, click here.
