The
Autumn 2013 issue of the PRO Newsletter has been published. It has an interesting editorial by
Professor Donald L. Patrick reflecting on the shift from ‘health related quality of life’ to ‘patient related outcomes’ and the current change toward ‘patient centred outcomes’. More than just a change in fashion, he sees this as a fundamental change in the way that measures need to be constructed.
Also in this issue are papers on several instruments, including PedsQL, the Sickness Impact Profile (SIP), the WHOQOL-BREF and the WHOQOL-DIS. There are also lots of other news items from the PRO community (or should that be PCO community?)
