Institute for Economic Analysis of Decision-making

InstEAD is a new organisation based at the University of Sheffield, researching the behaviour and decision-making of individuals and households, directed by Professor Sarah Brown and Professor Jennifer Roberts.

InstEAD aims to facilitate research which deepens our understanding of the behaviour and decision-making of individuals and households exploring questions such as: how does one person decide whether to invest in a pension? Attend a university? Make healthy or unhealthy lifestyle choices? How do these decisions affect the finances and well-being of their family?

The institute's launch event at the University is at 6:00pm, Thursday 10 October 2013. It is titled “Education, Health and Human Capital” and will feature Professor Maarten Lindeboom (VU University Amsterdam) and Professor Stephen Machin (University College London).  They will be discussing the role of health and education in human capital, drawing on their own research.

Places are strictly limited so if you would like to attend please register now.
