HEDS evidence in parliament

Earlier this week Alan Brennan, alongside John Holmes from ScHARR's Public Health section gave evidence to the House of Commons Committee examining the government's alcohol strategy, including the proposed minimum pricing policy. ScHARR's work on alcohol pricing has been central to the policy debate that informed the government's proposals and was at the centre of the minimum pricing discussions in the Committee.

The Committee session that Alan and John were invited to lasted over two hours, so if you want to prioritise your time we suggest you watch from around 31 mins to 58 mins.
