HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Lecturing restarts this week

It is Week 1 of the autumn semester at the University of Sheffield.  HEDS runs three MSc’s – MSc Health Economics and Decision Modelling, MSc International Health Technology Assessment, Pricing and Reimbursement and MSc Economics and Health Economics (with the latter being in collaboration with the Department of Economics).

The modules being taught this semester are; Health Economics, Economic Evaluation, Cost effectiveness Modelling for Health Technology Assessment, Health Research Methods, Methods and Processes in International Health Technology Assessment, Systematic Reviews and Evidence Synthesis: Principles.

The module leaders that will be busy over the next three months are; Aki Tsuchiya, Donna Rowen, Allan Wailoo, Simon Dixon, Phil Shackley, Chris Carroll, Ron Akehurst, and Sylvia Hummel.
