HEDS are offering two 3 year PhD studentships to be based in a Department of Health funded Policy Research Unit in Economic Evaluation located in the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We welcome applications to undertake methodological research in the areas of: obesity modelling for local decision-making; innovation; outcome measurement in health and social care; measuring and valuing inter-sectoral effects for economic evaluation; social value of a QALY.
The studentship will include home/EU tuition fees plus an annual maintenance grant (currently £13,590 for 2010/2011). The successful student will be supervised by Professor John Brazier and Dr Donna Rowen. Closing date for applications: Monday 9th May 2011. Further details can be found here.
