HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

Earl Howe now says NICE is essential

Having started a frenzy of speculation with his view that NICE will become redundant, Early Howe 'clarified' the situation in a speech at the ABPI on Wednesay (here). Whilst recognising that NICE's role will change, he recognised that appraisals are essential and would play a role in the VBP process. Nothing to worry about? Let's wait and see.
