HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

New NICE technology appraisals starting soon


The following NICE technology appraisals have been allocated to ScHARR-TAG:

  • Methadone and buprenorphine for drug misuse (Review 114) (MTA).
  • Tapentadol for severe chronic pain requiring centrally acting analgesia (STA).
  • Rivaroxaban for the treatment and secondary prevention of venous thromboembolism (STA).
  • Gastric Cancer - S1 (STA)
