HEDS is part of the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. We undertake research, teaching, training and consultancy on all aspects of health related decision science, with a particular emphasis on health economics, HTA and evidence synthesis.

ISPOR Publishes New Task Force Report on Constrained Optimization Methods
The Task Force Report, which includes our own Praveen Thokala provides a comprehensive overview of the methodology, including: (1) definitions, key concepts, and the main steps in building an optimization model; (2) the types of problems where an optimal solution can be determined in real-world health applications; and (3) how to choose the appropriate optimization methods for these problems.
