The post holder will work within the Health Economics and Decision Science (HEDS) Section of ScHARR, undertaking health economics and decision modelling on a range of applied policy and methodological research projects. This work is funded through the Department of Health’s Policy Research Unit in Economic Evaluation of Health Care Interventions (www.eepru.org.uk).
Specific approaches used, as part of these projects, include decision-analytic modelling (e.g. Markov and discrete event simulations), literature review/appraisal, econometrics and policy analysis. Applicants should have a Master’s degree or equivalent in anumerate subject (for example, mathematics, operational research, statistics or economics); and a demonstrable track record of work experience in developing economic evaluations within health care, including competence in relevant software.
